Push Up Laptop (Not Bra)

Spotted this on VR-Zone

It would be very cool if this feature is implemented on all laptops and it could spin 360 degrees in all directions. Not only it saves the neck strain… presentations can be done on it too!
The next evolution of laptops perhaps?

Don’t Buy Eee PC or HP Mini Yet

We won’t see the best deal till more competitors announce their models for the emerging Netbook ( small light cheap notebooks ) market. Till now, there are three main entrants into the market: Asus Eee Pc, HP Mini Note and Cloudbook By Everex. Acer and Dell has not released their models yet as of today. The consumers stand to benefit with the emerging compeition of these brands as they compete for the estimated 50 billion market share in the Netbook maket.

Why Don’t Buy Yet?

In June, Eee PC 901 is stated to include a Intel Atom, 10 inch screen and bluetooth.

Future Eee PC models in the 4th Quarter 2008 onwards are rumored to include touch screen functions.

In 6 months down the road, HP might upgrade its processors from VIA to Intel Atom. (Exclusive Interview with HP)

A new range of Intel Atom targeted at the Netbook market will be launched at Taipei’s Computex in June.

Why Should We Wait?

We should definitely wait for Acer launch of their Netbook in Computex in Taiwan on 3th June. The president has announced that they would sell 5 -7 million Netbooks this year and they have NOT launched their product yet.

Furthermore, Acer is Asus closest competitor as they are both Taiwanese firms. Expect Acer to come out with something similar to the Eee PC at competitive prices and specs. It will be a tough fight at this year’s Computex .

As for Dell, who knows what they would come out with? Maybe even a gaming Netbook with superior graphics and processing speed to play World of Warcraft ( just kidding!). We could only wait and see.

Total worth: $2,488*

Lets take a case comparsion with Singtel (with their pathetic 512 kbps Wireless SG ) and their $85/month plan for 10mbps plan. StarHub is offering $81/month for 12mbps + FREE Mobile 2 mbps ( x 4 the speed of Wireless SG) worth $19/month.

Starhub wins hands down for faster speeds!

So between a Gaming PC and StarHub Mobile ( x 4 speed) what would you prefer?
That is the only choice in question is if you are considering sticking to limited hotspots with low signal strengths. I would rather take StarHub Mobile and be free to surf anywhere.

HOWEVER i did not get any of those two plans, i got the 100 mbps plan instead!

Although it is worth $124/month there is a free notebook that cost $1200 on the resale market.

Since the contract is 30 months x $40 (increase) = $1200.
So it is like a FREE UPGRADE from 12mpbs to 100 mpbs !

Not only that i can surf up to 7.2 mbps with Starhub Mobile ANYWHERE! ( x 14 speed of Wireless SG )

So skip the $80 plan and go straight for the $120 plan for the best savings and fastest speeds in town.
