Tools of A System

A machinery moves in an automated system. It runs like a clock, in fact, it is trying to beat the clock to produce faster and faster. Churning out goods at a rapid rate to meet the demand from the suppliers.

The employees working in an Multi National Corporation (MNC) are just tools of a machinery system. They are delegated specific functions in their respective departments. They work around the clock, the employees in the USA are working in the day while the employees in India work while they are asleep. Everything is part of a big automated system that ensures profitability of the stock holders.

Everyone is becoming part of the system, each one of us contribute to a bigger objective. Tall buildings dominate the landscape while workers scurry like ants on the ground level. CEOs play golf while entertaining prospective clients. Money is the bottomline. If it brings in profits, we will start production of the goods and services to the masses.

We are just dispensable tools of a system. You can be fired and replaced anytime. Unless, unless… you decide to control the system and stop running in the race like everyone else.

Born Naked

and we die naked.

In the whole wide world, we are the only species that invented clothes for cosmetic reasons. I doubt aliens wear clothes either (maybe functional suites for protection). Humans are so caught up with their appearances that they try to mask every flaw they have. In other words, humans are insecure beings. Every single one of us, deep down our hearts, is just a playful child (ego). Just that we don’t let it out to play because of societal norms. When we grow up, we hide our inner child and “act” like a grown up.

I don’t understand what is wrong with our bodies, we come in different shapes and sizes but that doesn’t make us any different. We are still human. I believe the day when the human race unites as one is the day we are not concerned with any inequalities. Social class, skin colour, birth right… they are all just made up terms to make us feel “special” about ourselves and label the rest as inferiors.

We are similar to animals. We hunt for food, breed to reproduce and fight for territories. Humans are promiscuous, they mate with several partners over their lifetime. It is only due to the introduction of marriage for the societal reasons (the family unit to raise up kids) that humans curb their urges and resort to underground methods to satisfy them. That is why there is a demand for porn, prostitution and one night stands.

Our civilization has deteriorated over the times. The rise and fall of monarchies have lead to a disillusioned race. With the onset of the industrial revolution and economy, we think that we are prosperous, only to feel empty within. There is this sense of lost of purpose when everyone is racing against time for some unknown reason.
