continuation. . . from I Met a Dancer
. . .
As I knelt crying on the ground
A mysterious figure appeared before me
She was shrouded in a a green aura
She smelt of incense, addictive like nicotine
“My name is Reveal.” She opened her hands outright towards me.
“Follow me, and I will show you the way.” I was confused by her appearance, yet, I crawled towards her with every remaining hope I have left in my weakened body and accepted her gesture, entrusting both my palms into her hands.
When our fingers met, I felt a strange energy run through my body, a strange energy that made me feel powerful, a strange energy that is dark and murky green, surrounding my body in an auric field.
“Listen, be strong. You can stand alone. You need no one.” She advised in a motherly tone. When I looked closer at her, she reminded me very much of my aunt, her hair, and softness, and kind voice. I looked at the scar on her arm, the very scar I have on me. That is when I realised – Reveal is the older version of me.
“Stand up.” Reveal instructed kindly.
I stood up very slowly, starting from my feet, to straightening my knees, and pushing one hand onto my leg for support, for a final push to straighten my posture. As I stood looking at her face to face, I reached out my hand to caress her neck… very tenderly I kissed her softly on her cheek… as I felt shivers of familiarity creeping on my skin… and gave her a hug.
“Good girl. You belong to me now.”
She hugged me tightly in her arms, as we both melted to the rising sun.
