There was once a girl who was lost in the desert
She was lonely and sad
She tried to find her way
The brown sands stretching for miles to the end
There was no one around
She saw a mirage and tried to leap towards it
Realising it was actually… an illusion
As she cried kneeling on the ground
The sun rays burnt into the back of her skin
causing agony and intense pain
A cold breeze blew, carrying the smell of rain
With renewed hope, she walked towards the direction
of the breeze… hoping to find her way out
of the endless mirage of brown and blue
Her body was weakened from the exhaustion
Her eyes were firmly set on the horizon of a line of translucent blue
Her legs gave way, and she fell
bruising her knees on the hardness of the sands
She stood up once again
numb from the physical pain
using just her mental resolve
she… finally reached… the oasis
where she found her peace, at last.
Risque reveals how she became the Black Swan, after a betrayal.. that made her decide to wear the Black Mask.. a new resolve… a new corruption in her heart had set in. Now, her diseased heart seeks for vengeance and hate.
This episode is voiced over from my previous recording, done right after Risque’s first appearance in episode 2. She wanted to reveal how she became who she is… after all.. she had a reason to be the black swan…. she kind of reminds me of a gothic doll… or someone out of a vampire fiction… for some strange reason.
As per request, I redid the voice over for The Scarlet Queen Introduction, by the Scarlet Queen herself. Her episode is crucial to understanding the story line of the series. An interesting thing to take note of is that she is holding the black mask while talking as The Scarlet Queen. Is she actually, Risque? Why is the white mask on the tripod stand? Who is.. The Scarlet Queen?
From episode 4 onwards, I will be using Yeti as my microphone. With a HD webcam and HD microphone, I hope the production will be better. Subsequently I will invest in more gear, depending on how it turns out. I am working on improving my pronunciation, which is tough, because I am not reading from script. I am not doing retakes, I am not editing bits and pieces of my videos to put it together. I do not have a video editor or camera man to help out. Hence, the vlog style of spontaneous speech, rattling off what is on my head like a mad hatter. The fun part is when Risque appears… she is pretty clear on what she wants to say.
Yeti, is the microphone that I had purchased as of today, after receiving numerous requests to improve my microphone quality. I will be re-recording the voice over for episode 1, because it is crucial to understand what she says as it will be the cruical episode in the whole series. I am happy with the scene, however, the buzzing sound (yes i know) is a pain in the ass. Hence, I added in subtitles for all you literature-word-loving-people out there.
While I embark on the steep learning curve on the journey of the video blogging world, please spare me. I am a one woman production, trying to make sense of this over load of information available on the internet, forums, facebook and everything in-between. It is hard to reconcile my artistic direction and the technicalities I have to fathom and understand, in order to have a better execution on my works. Personally. I would like to focus on the story line, acting, and beauty. However, I do know I have to upkeep a certain level of professionalism, and trust me… I am god dam perfectionist to the core – with – extreme high standards. A little too hard on myself sometimes, I am quite capable of beating myself for making a mistake, and curl up into a tiny ball and just disappear from this earth – not.
In this episode, Cheryl reveals her secret lover, The White Knight. She is not sure if he knows about her feelings. In fact, she is unsure if she screwed it up when she tried to tell him about how she feels. They have not been in contact since, and she wonders if he is thinking of her, or watching her videos. She will play the piano in the next episode.
Directors Note: This scene took a total of 5 hours to materialise. Firstly, the microphone is seriously fucked, so I need to get a good external mircophone asap. The first few takes had a loud buzzing sound from the laptop, and when I tried to record on the piano, it sounds horrid. Hence I had about 20 retakes scrapped off because of poor sound quality. The last take, which is in this video is OK, because I figured out that I have to lean very close to the camera to drown out the buzzing sound and to be heard properly. I had a question from the forum if this is a one person production, yes it is, and I am trying my very best. You can see from the start and end of the video I am clicking on my laptop/keyboard to start/stop the recording. There are no edits, and I am trying my best to have no edits, because if I start heading that path… o boy… i will spend more time editing then acting, which is not a good thing. My parameters for making the videos is to do it in one take 2 – 3 minutes in length.
Risque, the man eater makes her appearance. She enjoys toying with the hearts of men, crushing their egos.. it gives her much thrill to do so, hence her name, Queen of Pain.
Directors Note: Acting as Risque is harder than I thought, I consumed three times more food than usual, took double time to prepare, however, I managed to nail her down in the one and only shot, because acting as Risque is terribly exhausting. I am happy on how it turned out, I have done a second video on her, on how she became the Black Swan, which is planned for episode 4.

PS: I have received several comments from men, that Risque is well received, despite her… man eater personality? It is strange, maybe its because women don’t play the part up as sultry little vixens, when inside them, there is a dark demoness in disguise.

The Scarlet Queen is the hybrid combination of Risque and Cheryl. She explains that when she wears the black mask, her name is Risque. When she wears the white mask, her name is Cheryl.
