Wiccan

Been reading a book about the early human civilisation.

“History is written by the victors, the losers become marginalised.”

It is quite a point to note that during the stone age,
Women were the leaders of the tribe while the men went out to hunt.
Men were expendable, one man can impregnate several women.
So women stayed in the caves to carry on the bloodline while the men
risked their lives in danger to hunt for food. While the “wounded healers”
became the “wise ones” who developed spiritual powers to provide
healing and wisdom (such as the location of water sources) to the tribe.

After the stone age, everything turned around and men started taking control.
Women were suppressed and the wise ones became labelled as witches.
The innocent were burnt at stake for being suspected of “worshiping the devil”.

We lost our roots that connected us to Mother Earth and its gifts.
The land that we walk upon, the air we breathe, the water we drink
and the fire that gives birth to life. The world is in chaos because we
had lost our spiritual self that connects us with earth.

In order to gain back our spiritual self, we have to start being aware of
the Universe. The universe gives us whatever we ask for. The resources
on earth are here to serve us.

I am agnostic by religion (someone who believes it is impossible to know if god exists)
I am open and receptive to all religions, but i am drawn to the New Age movement.
It makes sense that we have to connect to the world in to find a purpose in our lives.

(Note: Religious sensitivity. Views are subject to the author’s experiences)

I have been reading about witchcraft, the occultism and paganism
for a few years. I find that wiccans (or magick practitioners) are a
misunderstood bunch. I find that their religion is purest of all religions
because they worship Mother Earth. They use nature gifts and blessings
to create spells to heal the people around them.

Then again there are the dark practitioners who use dark magick to
create curses instead. (Not all Roman Catholic Priests are holy either)

I find it quite fascinating to read up on religions (i am not a witch btw)
The idea of being connected with nature to gain spiritual balance is an
interesting concept altogether.

Oracle Cards

My beloved fire based oracle deck.

Somehow it called out to me and it didn’t let go afterwards. I had no choice but to buy it. I am having lots of fun with them. They have an attitude problem sometimes when i keep asking the same questions. They flare up easily and they give very frank answers. Somehow i can feel its wrath in my left hand. It has a lifeforce of its own. I am glad that i found my deck. Although they are quite aggressive at times, somehow they do it for my own good.

“We are here to guide you. To illuminate your path towards the light. You have suffered in the past. From now on, there is a new future ahead… listen to us and you will eventually reach there. “

Somehow when Willie asked me which deck should he get, i felt something behind calling out to me. I turned around… took out the deck from the shelf and gave it to him. It was an Angel deck! A air based one that is. It has this very fluffy and light feeling when I held it.

This is how Willie’s Deck looks like:

His is pretty cool too, all the angels in his deck have their own names.
There was a very dark handsome angel that looks excatly like Willie lol!

Jeri’s Deck

The deck that inspired us to get ours lol.

Vincent van Gogh

Between November of 1881 and July of 1890, Vincent van Gogh painted almost 900 paintings. Since his death, he has become one of the most famous painters in the world. Van Gogh’s paintings have captured the minds and hearts of millions of art lovers and have made art lovers of those new to world of art. The following excerpts are from letters that Van Gogh wrote expressing how he evolved as a painter. There are also links to pages describing some of Vincent van Gogh’s most famous paintings, Starry Night, Sunflowers and The Potato Eaters, in great detail.

Van Gogh Sunflowers

Van Gogh firmly believed that to be a great painter you had to first master drawing before adding color. Over the years Van Gogh clearly mastered drawing and began to use more color. In time, one of the most recognizable aspects of Van Gogh’s paintings became his bold use of color.

About a year before his death Van Gogh predicted that there would be a great “painter of the future” who would know how to use color like no one else and would become the future of painting. He expressed this in a letter to his brother Theo in May of 1888,

During his lifetime Van Gogh was never famous as a painter and struggled to make a living as an artist. Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime The Red Vineyard. This painting sold in Brussels for 400 Francs only a few months before his death.

Vincent van Gogh died at the age of 37 bringing his career as a painter to an end, but beginning his legacy as the great painter of the future who inspired the world.

About a week after his death, Van Gogh’s brother Theo wrote to his sister Elizabeth about Van Gogh’s legacy as a great artist,

“In the last letter which he wrote me and which dates from some four days before his death, it says, “I try to do as well as certain painters whom I have greatly loved and admired.” People should realize that he was a great artist, something which often coincides with being a great human being. In the course of time this will surely be acknowledged, and many will regret his early death.”

Rat Race

Q: Who is the smarter one here – the one who control the rat race or the one who run in it?

Of course, you would answer… the ones who control the rat race!

So which would you choose to do… to control it or run in it?

“Control it of course!” the crowds shouted.

Then why are 90% of you still running in it and denying it and not doing anything about it?

*One thousand and one excuses to defend themselves”

Denial denial and more denial.

Welcome to the real world.

Advice for The Artistically Inclined

The Arts

This includes drama, poetry, fine arts, among a few other stuff. Intellectual stuff. There is math to everything, and these are not exceptions. Be thankful you’re getting taught some math, because real math is nothing like what schools have in their textbooks. Also, it doesn’t matter if you fail throughout the route. Some things definitely get inside your mind, and that’s enough to survive in this world. You’ll not be the fittest, but you will be fit.

Those who challenge the flow and are able to see 10-20 years in the future are the ones that do badly in terms of academics. A paper which says you can do this and that is not valid everywhere. Those who go by the book, with the flow, the goats, are the ones that will serve the puppets of the puppets, and will be the examples of “good students”. In truth, they are only moulded – they don’t mould themselves.
Quoted from gutturalpiss.

I wish i had been told this earlier, but i managed to survive the rigidity of the systems so far.
I have a different perception of things, some people can’t accept them so they try to find a way
to say stuff to defend themselves so they can keep living in their own little world of theirs.

The Artist

Spinning spinning around in circles
In warped confusion, in warped realities
The frustration that boils, the anger it unleashes
The tormented mind that is locked up in a cell
It hurts completely, it distorts perceptions

The works that no one seems to appreciate
The endless hours of conceptualising and creating
The cries of a hungry young child wanting to be heard

The blurring line between what is real and what is not
The insanity that fuels the passion of revealing the truth
The irregular heartbeats, the caged mind of the existence.

Kill me, before i perish.
